Welcome to my Blog Y'all!

 I'm Leia! I'm a small town Country girl with a passion for photography and a love for art! I am a wifey of 6 years to my wonderful husband, and might I add my very own Cowboy, Ben and a Mommy to my two wonderful little Countrified Cuties, who are 4 and 2!

 This blog is the place where I will be sharing my current photography including session sneak peeks and even some current events that are happening with me personally. Let me tell you a little bit about my style, which happens to be a sprinkle of everything! First off, I love to capture those natural, fun, candid moments, you know the ones where when you see them they just light up your face because the persons personality was captured perfectly!!  I also love the posed shots, the ones where I put you where I want you and make you say cheese, they can tell a story as well and can have just as much meaning, I say that only because I tend to snap pictures when you least expect it once you're set up and I tend to get those wonderful spur of the moment images while all the while you're being "posed". I'm flexible as well with my equipment and availability, I have a personal portable studio for those on location, in studio, traditional shoots but I do prefer outdoors and natural light when available! Let me see, I do everything from newborns to boudoir but not weddings, at least not at this time! ♥ My Puzzle Piece ♥

Back before bebes, even before marriage, way back 10yrs ago, when my Hubster and I were just starting to date, actually I think it had been about 2wks in to the relationship, Me and my Bebe (as I called him then and still call him to this very day) were on a date, we were actually at a Ty Herndon Concert in the Far West Rodeo Parking lot in San Antonio Texas, June 2000. We were dancing and swaying to the music, having a wonderful time, when he went to hold my hand, as he grabbed it, I leaned over and whispered to him, in his ear, “you are my puzzle piece”, he smiled at me with a twinkle in his eye ( I say it was a tear, he says it was the dirt, so we are agreeing on a “twinkle”) and he said back to me ” and you are mine”, then he leaned in to me and we had our very FIRST kiss, right there, in the middle of Ty Herndon’s song “Living in a Moment” (I swear y’all, my world stood still! :) ) And Every since that moment, we have always called each other the other’s puzzle piece because no matter what, we complete each other, we hold each other together, we did then and still do now. Our Love built this family and holds it together, we are slowly building a bigger puzzle that has connected and added on to the one we started 10yrs ago but the foundation and the main two pieces will always be me and him!!

So to my Puzzle Piece, I love you! <3 We fit perfectly together!

My Smiles:

My hubster, surprising us all and coming home last night! Even the Bebe Girl cried like Mommy did!!

HUGE family snuggle party on the couch, with no T.V.

The Bebes filling Daddy’s ears with EVERY story they could possibly think up!

Shoving my nose into my better half’s neck and smelling what is Home to me

Falling asleep listening to his Heartbeat

Knowing that there is not much longer until we are all together, with no deployments! (at least for a little while)

The Sunshine!! I have seen nothing but clouds the past few days and right now, as I type this, the sun is shining in my eyes and I find myself smiling!!

Last but not least, today I am Very Thankful and Blessed to have the Love of a Good Man and two Wonderfully Healthy Children, God has truly given me more than I could have ever imagined and for that I Thank Him! Make sure to thank Him for all you have as well, God is SO good to us and sometimes, we let it go a little to long without a simple “Thank You”!

Everyone, let me introduce to you the most handsomest little 4mth old I’ve ever had the honor to photograph so far! Mind you, he Is my first BOY 4 mth’er so I consider myself extra lucky to have had him start this year off right in his category! His smile was captivating and Oh so contagious for me, he kept me smiling the whole session and even had me laughing a few times, as well as his parents! And speaking of his parents, what a GORGEOUS Couple, I could feel the love they had for each other, as well as for their first born son, the minute I walked through the door, it honestly made the session But I am a sappy, hopeless romantic, so I read and feel Love in everything I do and see! ;) This session, in my eyes, was an all around AWESOME experience and I want to thank the “M” Family for such a wonderful and heart warming day, even if the weather wasn’t as warm as y’all were! :)

I hope Y’all enjoy this tease of a sneak peek and I want to thank y’all for such an awesome day and session!!

♥ “I Love the way you Love me” ♥

There are so many times that I sit here and I brag about my Husband and how truly awesome of a man he is and just when I think he cannot get any better, he once again amazes me and does something that knocks me completely off my feet!! Well, he did just that, knocked me off my feet and made me fall more in Love with him, when I thought that couldn’t be possible! I woke up yesterday to find, on my Facebook page, that my Hubster had written out every small thing that he loves about me, from the way I talk to the small quirks that make me so unique, I sat right here in this chair for a good 30 minutes reading what he wrote, over and over again, crying each time as if it was the first time I had read it! I was truly amazed by how many things he had written down, things that I sometimes find annoying about myself, he finds amazing and loves them, that to me is true and raw unconditional Love!! It makes my heart smile and makes me truly thankful that he is my Husband, my Best Friend and my Soul Mate!! I cannot image another soul on this earth being more perfect for mine, than his!

Meet Everleigh!

(I just LOVE that name!)

She is my very first Newborn of 2010 and one I shall never forget, after a long but short 6hr session with her, I shall remember her always! She is not only my first when it comes to the new year, she is also a few of my firsts when it comes to being a photographer; she was my first to make me wait 3hrs before we actually started shooting; my first to bend like a pretzel however I wanted her to bend, when she was passed out, with NO fussing or fighting and, last but not least, my first to pee on me and I’m not talking about a little bit either, that girl broke me in right, she emptied her whole bladder on me :) It was great!! The whole session was actually great, come to think of it, they had a fire going when I got there and the fed me some of the BEST homemade tamales I’ve ever tasted and kept me well hydrated with Pepsi, I’m tellin’ y’all, I was in Heaven!! So Mr. and Mrs. H, I want to again congratulate y’all on that sweet and precious little girl of yours and I want to thank y’all from the bottom of my heart for y’alls kindness and sweet welcoming ways, I felt so at home with y’all!! I really hope y’all enjoy this sneak peek of your precious little angel!

And “Dad”, Mr. Harp, this one is for you!! Your precious little angel! <3

the newborn I am about to post! <3 although she made me work for it, I got some great shots and she was adorable!

my son telling my daughter this morning “Chey, Chey, Chey, Chey I lub your hair Chey, it pretty, I just lub it!”, it was so cute!

my daughter telling me today that I am the prettiest mommy in the whole world! <3

the tease of packages coming in the mail, that hubster won’t let me open! <3

Chocolate and Fruit, need I say more??!!

Kroger, one of the local Grocery Stores around these here parts, has one of the best inventions ever made, A Chocolate Cup filled with Raspberry Cream and topped with Fresh Fruit!! Oh it was DELICIOUS, let me tell you what and the best part was of course the chocolate!! ;) My bebes helped me eat it, which was a funny experience in itself because as in the words of my bebe girl “mommy, cups aren’t for eating!!”, We enjoyed and savored every bite of that chocolate fruit delight cup, though, right down to the very last bite! ;)

getting those taggy blankets made for my bebes, they have been begging for one for months now and I finally did it, although I must add those things better last a VERY long time for all the work it takes to make them! ;) ha

knowing that tomorrow I have a date with a pretty little princess, a newborn at that!! I am super excited, my first newborn of the year!! :)

♥ Shirley Temple ♥

Well, my little mini version of Shirley Temple that is!! Ain’t she a cutie pie?!?!!

She has my heart, keeps me smiling every day with lots of love, kisses and random words and phrases, such as “Mommy, I love you, you are my girlfriend because boyfriends are gross and Bubba is too”

OR

“Mommy, we need a girls day, just me and you because my toes are looking nuckas!!” (nuckas is our word for gross btw)

These pictures have me cracking up today, though, which I needed very much so and I think Cheyenne knew that, she did everything she could to keep me busy, happy and full of laughs and smiles! Of course that all came after a long, much needed snuggle when she realized I was upset about something, although she didn’t ask like she normally does, she just held me and we rocked, made my heart swell and made me very proud of the little momma that she is!!

My Smiles:

waking up to the sun shining, warm weather and the snuggles of two precious little angels! (also known as my bebes)!

my bebes pretending to have hiccups with me, when I couldn’t seem to get rid of mine the other day!!

Having lunch with a great friend and the cutest little girl on Friday!! :)

Spending the afternoon taking over the Zoo with friends!

my hubster and his awesomeness, I am blinded by it! ;) lol

and this little guy, he literally ran over to me and posed on his little rock while I snapped a picture, when he decided I was done, he took off! It was SO cute! :) And the bebes begged to take him home!

♥ Well If I must, I must! ♥

Indulge that is, Yummo! Spring Fever is Official for this cooped up Mommy, so when I hit Walmart today and saw these two items starring at me from their happy spot on the shelf and taunting me with there Springiness, I just had to buy them, bring them home and EAT them, let’s see who has the last laugh now, I’m officially Indulging away over here and it feels GREAT!! Although, like the picture shows, you can see which one truly has my heart…. and tummy!! ;)

My Smiles:

telling Bubba this morning “whoa there cowboy” and him answering back “ma’am cowgirl, ma’am?!” I giggled!

My bebes playing dress up, Bubba was a pirate while Sissy was a Musketeer!

much needed nap time yesterday! Sleep is good medicine!

:) my hubster and his silly phone calls, I wubs him! <3

tons of silly phone calls between me and a few of my friends, hubster and I were in weird moods today with the sillies!!

those oreos above, I will shyly admit to eating a whole row already tonight…… ;)

bubba telling me tonight after he got up, when he was supposed to be in bed, “MOMMY, I need kisses, my lips are chapped!” while tapping on his little lips with his finger!
